About Hillary

Hello there!  It’s nice to meet you.

My name is Hillary and I am a wife, mother, and speech-language pathologist in the San Francisco Bay Area.  I love working with children of all ages, and have been blessed with two spunky daughters of my own.  My children have taught me more about play and language development than any graduate school textbook ever did.  They’ve also taught me a lot about myself, about parenting, and about finding a balance in life with all the chaos and love that family life brings.

I started my career working in a clinic, than transitioned to private practice and public and private school settings.  In my spare time, I love reading about child development and parenting.  My husband and friends keeps me sane in my own parenting journey, and my long runs on the weekends refocus and reenergize my spirit.

And thank you for visiting.  I’m still sorting out this blogging world, and many of my students know more about computers than I do, but I love being able to share my thoughts with you!
