Hi there, I’ve been enjoying reading your blog and find it really informative. Are there any online resources that you could recommend on anxiety in kids? I’d be interested in learning more about how to respond in a positive way to episodes of anxious behaviour from my toddler but it’s a bit of a long way to come from the uk to this seminar!
Hi Caroline! Thanks for your note – I’ve found resources by Dr. Reed Sulik, as well as the Child Mind Institute and Anxiety Disorders Association of America, very helpful in answering questions about anxiety in children. I’d also check out the “Five Love Languages of Children” for general ideas on helping reinforce your child’s sense of security in frightening situations.
I hope these help! Good luck – it can be a difficult issue to deal with as a parent when you see your little munchkin suffering.
